Aqventuresailing is neither a training centre, sailing school, charter company or travel agency. I am a full-time, professional freelance skipper & instructor, collaborating with companies that meet my commitment to quality.

Led by a certified RYA Cruising Instructor with over 10,000 nautical miles of experience, the training covers both theoretical knowledge and practical skills on monohulls and catamarans. For 2026–2027, Aqventuresailing is partnering with SEAFARER Training in Lefkada and Split, offering RYA courses from Competent Crew to Yachtmaster, big-boat training and milebuilders.

This motto does not come by chance:

My story. And a pinch of sea salt.

Already as a little boy I was allowed to gain first sailing experiences at the Attersee while laser sailing. Sailing yachts have always fascinated me and I was allowed to sail some parts of the world as a crew member.

As a successful sales and project management professional with decades of experience, I worked in various industrial sectors, most recently in the specialised textile industry. Until the beginning of 2024, I worked as a consultant in the government business. In this role, I advised MODs and MOIs in Europe and managed international projects from product development to market launch. Actually, I was supposed to take over the company I worked for at the time and lead it into the future. But it turned out differently – fortunately. And I embraced the big adventure.

With my trainings to RYA Yachtmaster Offshore I have fulfilled a dream and have set sails.

As a skipper I accompany selected cruises and projects – with experience, responsibility and real passion for the sea. I also cooperate with yacht management companies and charter providers worldwide and am happy to share my knowledge as RYA Cruising Instructor.

I am married, my safe haven is a powerful woman and I am father of a wonderful daughter in the best teenage age. My home base is in Wels in the tranquil Upper Austria. The Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean are my preferred sailing areas.

Start your own adventure and learn to sail with me, deepen your theoretical knowledge or consolidate your practical skills. You have the choice:

Sailing licenses

Acquisition of an English or Austrian sailing license, in each case in cooperation with an approved training centre. Learn in 1, 2 or 3 weeks (depending on previous knowledge) from scratch everything you need for your own yacht charter.

Skippertraining

You already have a sailing license and first experience as a skipper? Parking in and out of a marina still gives you a headache? I am happy to accompany you on a yacht chartered by you or train in a sailing school with you.

Private Tuition

You are a proud yacht owner and would like to deepen your knowledge in the theoretical and practical handling of your yacht? I look forward to spending time with you on board and “polising” your skills.

Austrian FB2 Sailing Training

Prepare for Your Austrian FB2 Licence

The Austrian FB2 licence is a popular qualification for sailors who want to skipper recreational pleasure craft at sea. Aqventuresailing offers practical training programmes in collaboration with established Austrian sailing schools, with training taking place in the beautiful waters of the Croatian Adriatic.
Please note: the Austrian FB2 licence is only available to Austrian citizens and is intended exclusively for skippering recreational pleasure craft. It is not a professional commercial qualification.

Practical Training in the Adriatic

The training combines structured instruction with plenty of practical time on board. The focus is on developing the skills and confidence you need to handle a yacht safely and responsibly.

Depending on your experience and training requirements, the programme can include:
